Meet Nishtha

My Journey

I didn’t always know I’d become a therapist. But looking back, I was always the person people came to when they needed to talk.

I followed what felt like the “safe” path first – commerce, to a predictable degree. But something kept pulling me back to psychology. Even if nothing else comes out of it, I thought, maybe I’ll at least understand myself better.

During my Master’s internship, everything changed. I watched a clinical psychologist help someone who had stopped using the metro after a traumatic experience. Over weeks, this person not only got back on the train – but eventually enjoyed the ride again.

That moment – witnessing healing unfold slowly, gently, in real time – set the foundation for my path. I knew I wanted to do this work. Not to “fix” people, but to walk alongside them as they found their own way back to themselves.

What I've learned since then

Over the past 5 years and 250+ clients, I’ve learned that healing doesn’t follow a script. Some people need a few months. Others stay for a year or more. Some come for anxiety and discover deeper patterns. Others come feeling lost and leave feeling grounded.

What stays consistent is this: people don’t need someone with all the answers. They need someone who will listen without judgment, remember what matters to them, and hold space while they figure it out.

That’s what I try to bring to every session – presence, patience, and the belief that you already have what you need to heal. Sometimes you just need support to find it.
